Here I will be maintaining archives of my music by year, posting a short article for each song, usually with lyrics as well as an embedded player to listen to the track.

There are many influences on my music and lyrics, perhaps the most notable are Damien Rice, Bon Iver and more recently Nico Stai. I have a singer songwriter sound, usually just me and my guitar recorded together in one take. Occasionally I’ll add a second layer of lyrics or guitar but this is the exception rather than the rule.

This year (2011) I plan to fill out my songs better. They can sound a bit empty at times, though this may also be down to poor recording equipment and lack of knowledge of configuration on my part. Regardless, this year I will be pushing myself to improve at least as much as I did last year. I hope you find the experience as enjoyable as I do.
